Acai Pulp
The Acai berry is round, of about 25mm in circumference, and is similar in appearance to a small grape, with a dark purple and black colour. 80 to 90% of the berry is made up of a hard single seed.
The Acai berry grows in large bunches on palm trees that can grow up to the height of 15 to 25m and is mostly found in the amazon jungles of Brazil.
The small amount of edible pulp and skin is seperated from the seed, and processed into juices, powder or pulp, which is why Acai isn’t available commercially as a whole berry.
Our growers comply with Global Gap and all traceability standards and pesticide policies.
